Wild flowers walking tour in Romania, on Transylvanian hills

Traveling in the Bran region is always and I mean always, a beautiful experience. No matter how many times I have already been there, I just can’t get enough.

This time, walking with Rhys and Alexandra from Australia, we were amazed of how beautiful are the flowers, the spontaneous flora of this place. We were also very happy to walk thru virgin forests sections where anyone would expect at any time to meet the famous romanian bear, at any turn.

For me was a real pleasure to see their faces in the pine forest and while admiring all the p… (>>>)

Walking tour in rainy but beautiful Romania

You’d say rain is a major downer when going for a walking trip. Who wouldn’t prefer a nice, sunny, warm day on the trails instead of marching around, across or simply through muddy puddles, with rain falls ranging from light drizzles to heavy hail, with constantly wet shoes, clothes, etc.

Still, if you love mountains, you enjoy them no matter how the weather is. That’s exactly what we did, in the select company of seven Swedish guests that we guided through Bucegi mountains from Sinaia to Moeciu, than across Bran Cou… (>>>)

Walking tour in Transylvania, this beautiful part of Romania

Dear Iulian, Thank you so much for showing me a bit of Transylvania ,,this  beautiful  part of Romania”. We did have a wonderful time travelling with you.  It was so nice and easy to follow in your step and have all the time to look around in this great unspoiled nature.  It was wonderful to have the feeling that everything was unspoiled and basic. No other tourists.  Just like the three of us were alone in the world.  We had so much fun and we will have good memories from this trip forever. We hope we can come again to see some more, maybe going t… (>>>)

Explore Carpathian garden, walking & culture in Romania

On my those 12 years of mountain guiding and organizing outdoor tours in Carpathian garden, I have learned that one image is more valuable then 1000 words.  I invite you to see some images from my last “Explore Carpathian garden, walking & culture in Romania” tour in South East of Transylvania, together with Tatiana and Nasser.

We did a walk from village to village, on one of the most surprising and beautiful part of Transylvania, where you meet real nature and local people every day. After the walking tour, we visite… (>>>)

Skitouren in Rumänien, Skitouren in Karpaten, Bucegi und Fagaras Berge

Hallo lieber Iulian,

Los esquiadores españoles en un esquí de montaña en las montañas de Bucegi, Rumania

Hmmm, I’m not sure if we were skiing in Romania or in Siberia 😉 , because of the windy days what we had in Bucegi mountains. Weather is not all the time as we wish or as we expect, but always we find ways to enjoy a ski tour. We did a traverse of Bucegi mountains, starting from Cota 1400 in Sinaia to Moeciu de Sus village, over Tataru peak and Strunga pass. Weather was so and so, I mean from sunny but windy periods to totally white out periods! Despite the white out from last day, we enjoyed a forest descent on powder snow, and like this we end our … (>>>)

Snowsnoeing i Transsylvanien, Rumænien

My wife bought this trip for me for Christmas and for my wife it was an importance that I could travel with a guide where trust and personality were the key words. And I must say that it was as she hoped.

My trip was a mountaineering trip over 5 days. Before I even arrived, I have had a long and positive dialogue with Iulian, who even offered to lend me some equipment that i needed. I received lots of good advice and I felt very well prepared to be alone in Romania. The tour, which included only me, took place under great conditions because we were… (>>>)

Walking tour in Carpathians, Bucegi mountains, Romania

Maybe the mountains are the same as last weekend, but the weather, the clouds and the hikers make the difference as always. This weekend, 26-27 November, I was traversing Bucegi mountains with Beth, Carmen, Marc and Catalin, on a easier but challenging route. We hiked on the plateau of Bucegi mountains from Babele cable car station to Omu peak the highest peak in Bucegi mountains, enjoying the views which surround us wherever we look, because the weather was one more time on our side.

I left Brasov early morning, the clouds were the same … (>>>)

Challenging hiking in Romania, Bucegi mountains

I meet Mike almost three years ago, when he asked me for another challenging tour in Romanian mountains, climbing Moldoveanu peak, our highest peak, in just two days. Usually when somebody ask about this type of tour, are two options: very well prepared for hiking, or didn’t know exactly how are Fagaras mountains. Well, Mike do not disappoint me, and he’s part of the first option, very well prepared for hiking, in fact he’s a Marathon runner. So three years ago we were just fast and happy (not furious like the movie) t… (>>>)
