Sometimes it is simply better to let our guests tell the story. Without much ado, here it is:
„We are a group of four Swedes who love exploring different countries and especially the mountains and the country side on bike, by foot and on skies. This year we decided to travel to Romania to test the Carpathians on mountain bikes. The expectations were set high after reading the web page and the professional contact with Horia and Iulian before arriving in Romaina. And indeed, the Carpathians and our experiences during the week didn’t make us disappointed!
During the week we biked through deep forests, high grasslands, rocky mountains and lush pre-industrialized farmlands on beautiful trails. We saw all sorts of animals, from donkeys to wild bores and flocks of sheep accompanied with traditional shepherds. A favorite memory was when two horses decided to join our group, sometimes nicely staying in line in the middle of our group and sometimes running by our sides, while we biked some kilometers in a forest. We were wet and sunburned, cold and tired, overheated and hungry but it only made the cold beer and the dinner in the evening more tasty. In all, we truly enjoyed the experience!
Our guide Horia was great in all possible aspects being friendly, social and service-minded with great biking skills and willing to share it with us. Additionally, the tour logistics was trouble free, the accommodation was great and with food allowing us to taste the traditional rustic Romanian dishes.
Thank you Horia and Iulian for sharing your beautiful country with us! We were all very happy with the awesome tour and can gladly give our best recommendations to experience the Carpathians together with these two guys.
