They came from California to visit her family in Berlin. And because 10 years ago, if I remember well, I was hiking with some of their friends, Tanja and her family decide to spent a week hiking in Romania. Even if our plans were changed by the weather conditions, we were lucky enough where we hiked in Bucegi mountains and in Fagaras mountains. The kids were fantastic! Weatherproof, mountain biking in Romania

Mon père adorait les Carpartes

Curieuse d’apprendre plus sur la région où mon père a grandi, je voyageais une deuxième fois en Transylvanie, cette fois ci avec mon conjoint qui adore les montagnes et les aventures. J’ai contacté Iulian pour demander de l’aide car pour moi c’était la première fois que je faisais une randonnée dans la montagne. Il a proposé un tour de 3 jours. My dad loved the Carpathian mountains – Belgium hikers in Romania

Wanting to learn more about the region my father grew up, I travelled once more to Transylvania, this time with my partner who loves mountains and adventures. Since it was the first time for me to do a hike, I contacted Iulian and asked for help. We agreed on a 3-day trip in the Făgăraș Mountains.

British hikers on Moldoveanu Peak, Romania 2016

Stuart and Liam flew to Romania on an extended weekend to hike the Carpathians, set foot on the highest peak and experience some of authentic rural lifestyle. Sounds like a simple plan, and in many way it was, but most of the times the great satisfactions come out of really simple things.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 8 Leuten in Rumänien und haben zusammen mit Iulian und Horia (die beiden Bergführer und Guides) eine wundervolle 4 -tägige Tour durch Transilvanien erlebt. Da einige sich nicht auf das Mountainbike getraut haben, haben wir eine Wander- und eine Mountainbike-Gruppe gebildet. Die beiden sind sehr gut auf die Bedürfnisse der Gruppen eingegangen und waren total flexibel was das Programm anging. Walking in Transylvania, welcome to nature

Eva and Christian enjoyed a mountain biking tour in Transylvania last summer as well, and now they came back with other 6 friends. For biking and walking. And we all really enjoyed the days we spent together. Weather was like on Spring, sun, heavy rains, blue sky, but all ended well. Hiking Bucegi, enjoy the mountains!

Tura mea cu Horia a fost cadoul pe care mi l-am oferit anul acesta de ziua mea. Am găsit mountainguide.ro şi am fost surprinsă să văd atât de multe testimonialuri. Am citit câteva dintre ele, unele şi mai vechi, şi mi-am dat seama că nu aveau cum să fie inventate, totul era real. Am scris un mail scurt la adresa din contact, iar Iulian mi-a răspuns foarte prompt, spunându-mi că el nu este disponibil în perioada aceea, dar că Horia ar putea să mă însoţească într-o tură. Perfect!

Hiking Fagaras mountains, enjoy hiking

This one of those tours what can be described very easy, but photos will do. Was a calm tour from all points of view, weather, pace, talks and landscapes. We start from Valea Sambetei and ended in Ucea de Sus village, hiking of of the most nicest part of Fagaras mountains, the main ridge from Sambata to Podragu, and Tarata north ridge. Even was almost end of July, plenty of Rododendron flowers surrounding us, blue sky and nice atmosphere. Hiking Fagaras mountains in Romania

During my recent visit to the Fagaras mountains I could see oceans of Alpenrosen, hear stories about giant bears, see flying alpine chickens and majestic chamois, walk the steepest chicken breast, experience the most yellow dormitory room, drink the the blackest coffee, almost touch kingseize and smallseize water-buffalos and observe caring storks high above the village, taste yellow caviar and watch active grandmas in story tale like gardens – making the strongest schnaps and – without a doubt – now I am in love with Romania – the … (>>>)
