I’ve had 2 great trekking trips with Iulian and would highly recommend him

I have done 2 trips with Iulian. The first was in September 2011 when we traversed the Fagaras mountains in the Autumn, and I came back in the winter this year,2013, to do a ski tour for a week. It was a wonderful experience to be in the back country where there was only the two of us out on the mountains making fresh tracks through the snow. Equally interesting and challenging was skiing through the woods , but Iulian had the utmost patience and awareness of my ability. Alla fine la neve era perfino troppa, ma Iulian ha saputo inventare con 2-3 telefonate un programma alternativo che ci ha soddisfatti tutti a pieno. Discese nella neve polverosa, paesaggi invernali da sogno, le pittoresche cittadine di Sibiu e Brasov, il castello Peles, la cucina e l’ospitalità rumena questo e tant’altro ho potuto scoprire durante il mio soggiorno nei Carpazi rumeni. Iulian ha organizzato tutto in modo perfetto: dall’arrivo all’aeroporto fino alla ripartenza, compreso un qualche cambiamento del programma dovuto a condizioni sfavorevole. Absoluten Highlights unseres Rumänienaufenthalts

Unser Tagestrip mit Iulian war unter den absoluten Highlights unseres Rumänienaufenthalts! Unsere Wanderung führte uns durch die entlegene Hügellandschaft in der Nähe des Ortes Bran. Die Aussicht war großartig und wir hatten sie praktisch für uns alleine – denn bis auf einen Schäfer mit seinen 200 Schafen haben wir den ganzen Tag über niemanden getroffen!

Für uns verlief die Tour perfekt – kaum zu glauben, dass wir sie nur zwei Tage im Voraus geplant hatten! Iulian ist ein kompetenter, unkomplizierter und zuverläs… (>>>)

Day trip with Iulian in the Carpathian Mountains

We really had a great day trip with Iulian in the Carpathian Mountains near Bran village. The landscape was superb and the place very remote – we did not meet anybody the whole day, except a shepherd with his 200 sheep. Even though our trip was planned only two days in advance, everything was just perfect. Especially the small things made the tour with Iulian exceptional: the pickup from and the drop-off directly to our pension in Brasov, the information he gave about Romania from the perspective of a local person, the wind-protected she… (>>>)

Thank you for organizing such smooth transfers, information, and for providing us with a friendly guide.

It has been months since Alex and I returned from our European holiday, and still we smile with fond memories of mountains covered in flowers and berries eaten off low hanging shrubs. The tiny strawberry bush we have in our garden reminds us of the wild-berries that Mihai showed us on our walk. Although they are no where near as good. The walks that Mihai took us on were memorable. It is only now that i am preparing to print our holiday ph… (>>>)

Walking in Bucegi mountains

Sometimes you don’t need 11 days to enjoy the Carpathian mountains. Last week we had enough of the grey sky in Bucharest and Iulian organized for us a one day hike on top of Bucegi mountains from Sinaia to the Caraiman cross.

We started at the cable car in the fog but once on the top we had a great day with blue sky and a sea of clouds in the valley.

We enjoyed every moments of our 5 hours hike before to drive back to Bucharest.

This was for us a confirmation that a two hours drive is enough to enjoy a day in paradise!!

Romania blessed us with beautiful weather, spectacular mountain vistas and delicious food

Two weeks in Romania and our time spent with Iulian was our most memorable. What a challenge! How to organize a successful family hiking trip for grandparents, parents and kids? Iulian pulled it off masterfully! We were all challenged to our limits (except maybe my husband and I who are dreaming of returning to Romania to do some bigger mountains and some ski touring in the powdery Romanian snow) It was a wonderful family bonding experience. Horia en Iulian, bedankt voor deze mooie ervaring en alle goede zorgen!

Hoi Horia en Iulian, Het is al weer drie weken geleden toen ons avontuur in Roemenie begon. De aankomst op het vliegveld in Boekarest en het eerste contact met Horia, onze gids. De dagen daarna hebben we genoten van het prachtige landschap en hebben we geleerd wat “pushbiking” is. We zijn allen redelijk ervaren mountainbikers maar we hadden nog nooit zoveel gelopen met de fiets. Zeker de eerste twee dagen waren pittig maar zeker de moeite waard. Het uitzicht op de ridges was fantastisch!! Ook de lange downhill secties war… (>>>)
