I have done 2 trips with Iulian. The first was in September 2011 when we traversed the Fagaras mountains in the Autumn, and I came back in the winter this year,2013, to do a ski tour for a week. It was a wonderful experience to be in the back country where there was only the two of us out on the mountains making fresh tracks through the snow. Equally interesting and challenging was skiing through the woods , but Iulian had the utmost patience and awareness of my ability. Iulian’s skill of knowing the terrain, snow conditions and weather meant that I always felt extremely safe and in exceptionally capable hands. As we had very variable weather conditions, Iulian offered a very personalized service being able to change the itinerary at exceptionally short notice to try and enhance my overall ski touring experience. Iulian’s service extends well past the actual trip. From my first email inquiry more than 4 years ago his response to any question has always been incredibly prompt and helpful. I had to buy all new equipment for ski touring and the extended effort and time he put in helping me choose and order them on line was truly above the expected level of service. His attention to detail in every stage of planning and execution of a trip is outstanding. Iulian is exceptionally reliable, organized and trustworthy as are the people he uses from the time I was picked up from the airport until I flew home. Iulian’s English both written and spoken is very good. He’s intelligent, interesting and able to discuss a vast range of topics making for a very enjoyable time while trekking. I’ve had 2 great trekking trips with Iulian and would highly recommend him to make any travel arrangements for you.
