Family Hiking in the countryside of Bran mountain village

Family Hiking in the countryside of Bran mountain village

In the spring of 2022, between Covid and the war in Ukraine, I had the pleasure to organize a hiking tour for a grandfather Johannes, and his grandson Adrian, both from Germany.

Johannes had been to Romania about 30 years ago, like any young Neamt who wanted to explore Eastern Europe.

Then he walked the ridge of the Piatra Craiului, now we enjoyed walking at the base of the ridge, different age, different desires.

Our trek was a classic one, on foot through the country of Bran, from village to village, in a May with good weather, flowers and l… (>>>)

Hiking tours in Romania, Fagaras mountains

Liliana is a Romanian born lady, living in Italy since many years, and this summer she try to organise a hiking tour in Romanian mountains, for a group of Italian and Dutch friends. Unfortunately because of the pandemic situation the tour was cancel, but Liliana still want to enjoy the beauty of the Carpathian Mountains.

Both our tours were in Fagaras mountains, end of June, for the Rododendron mountain flowers, and we choose (as always) Barcaciu hut area in West of Fagaras. Outstanding weather, flowers, food and company, thanks to Pe… (>>>)

Our 2019 mtb season was a blast

Our 2019 mtb season was a blast

Many say that the 2019 season marked the end of an era for the various leisure industries, including adventure tourism. Well, if this will be the case, we can honestly say that we ended this said era with a bang. Our 2019 mountain biking season was a brilliant one. Check it out in this short video round-up:

We’ve had some exquisite custom short tours: Daniel, coming from Sweden, open the party in April. Monika and her friends drove to Romania for a longer trip, out of which four days were reserved for mountain biking. Sam flew all the w… (>>>)

Wild flower walking tour in Transylvanian Alps

They came all the way from Australia, visiting Tinne’s family in Holland but also to see the wild flower-rich meadows that Transylvania is known for. In some parts the horse and cart is still the normal mode of transport, and hay is cut and stacked by hand – an everyday reality. We wound our way up through forested mountains in Bucegi and along fertile valleys with views of steep alpine meadows in Simon village with an extraordinary diversity of flowers. The beautiful farm land of Magura mountain village, in Piatra Craiu… (>>>)

Simple: powder splitboarding in Carpathian mountains

At the beginning of our tour, Bucegi mountains were just a big desert, without sand, sorry, snow! But at least was blue sky!

Second day, the same blue sky, but we manage to find some nice powder for some long lines! Well, then we had a situation, meaning a snow storm came over Bucegi, and true winter finally arrived in Carpathian mountains. After we traverse Dudele mountains, from Bucegi to upper parts of Moeciu de Sus mountain village, in true snow storm, we had a really big surprise: at least 50-70 cm of fresh powder snow, untouched, was th… (>>>)

Exploring Romania, walking, culture, enjoy tasty food

A conversation with a Romanian taxi driver in London a few years ago put Romania on my travel radar. He enthusiastically described the beautiful scenery and many hiking options available in his home country. From the beginning of our correspondence with Iulian, he was prompt and efficient in dealing with our enquiries which gave us confidence in his professionalism. The outstanding feature of Iulian’s company is that it genuinely offers tours which are tailored to the specific needs of the group and the itinerary is flexibl… (>>>)

Our Romanian Bike Trip, Israeli mountain bikers

We are 4 Israeli Bikers who have been on two previous European Bike Trips. We have been riding for 15 years and have a lot of experience. But this last week exceeded it all by far. From the minute that we were met at the airport until the last drop off back at the airport, a week later, it was all about personal attention, responsibility and true caring that was displayed by our amazing guide Horia. Behind the scenes a lot was going on in the logistics department but up front it as all about great food, superb riding and a lot of fun. We truly learnt … (>>>)

Israeli mountain bikers in Bucegi Mountains

The Israeli mountain bikers seem generally reluctant to go for a full-mountain experience. Lacking experience in tackling long ascents and natural mountain trails, they more often than not opt for “safer” programs, with more cable car lifts, minibus transfers, fewer hours on the trails, etc.

Ronnen, Shane, Motti and Zeev where ready to get out of their comfort zone, opting for our true mountain Bucegi Circuit mtb tour. And they’ve got an experience they will brag about for years to come. A true mountain biking e… (>>>)

I would highly recommend this company. Iulian provided for us a personalised itinerary of hiking through the Transylvanian mountains and villages. The scenery was picturesque and the tour was very well organised and run. Thanks again Iulian!

American guests, hiking in Romania

Our 6 day, 5 night trekking adventure in Romania was fantastic. Iulian picked a good route for us to see different parts of the Carpathian mountains. Every day we enjoyed beautiful scenery and great vistas. One of the highlights of the experience was our guide, Iulian. He is very knowledgeable and was clearly excited to share both the beautiful Romanian landscape and the wonderful culture with our family. He accommodated our every need and his easy going nature made him an absolute pleasure to spend time with. We have been on many guide… (>>>)
