We, four ladies from Bayern/Germany, have spent unforgettable holidays in Transylvania thanks to our mountain guide Iulian Cozma. Our tour started with a warm-up tour over the hills from Moeciu de Sus and Simon followed by moderated tours over the Bucegi Mountain and Piatra Craiului National Park. Before we started climbing the Fagaras Mountains from the town Victoria. We spent two nights at the Podragu chalet and from there we climbed on the top of Moldoveanu and Vistea peaks.

Natural trails on mountain bike, South East of Transylvania, Romania

After a mountain biking week, being in the mountains with Sigge’s friends, I realized how great it is to be fit and to be able to try everything on the bike in the mountains. This time I learned another lesson. With the group from Steven, I was amazed to observe how the people, when fit enough, are enjoying the Romanian natural trails. Beautiful walking tour in Romania, spring flower tours

What I can say, was one of the nicest spring tour from weather and photography point of view. I was many times walking on this area, but I don’t remember so many flowers as I saw during this tour. And the same surprise for Inge from Belgium, who choose to have a holiday of almost two weeks in Romania. Inge, I think was worthed to choose Romania as your holiday destionation!

Mountain biking holiday in Romania, Bran county, Transylvanian villages

Willing to ride…Ido and Liorah, from Israel, wanted to try the mountainbiking in the Romanian mountains.  After a small adjustments of the plans we had a very beautiful biking week, maybe not on the most technical trails but with beautiful landscapes and a few challenges. I was very much impressed of their wish, will and determination  to ride and I can say they did a great job. Expert mountain biking tour in Romania, South East of Transylvania

Performance… About Sigge and Mike I’ve heard last year. They were described as mountainbikers with very good tehnical skills so that made me pretty much eager to meet them. And I just say this: It all worthed. This year they came with Thomas  and we rode the Carpathian Expert Ride wich is the most difficult tour offered by MTBtours.ro – and Mountainguide.ro in Romania at this point. I had big expectations from the whole trip but I have to confess: the tour and the way of riding was so much beyond my dreams.

Discover Romanian mountains, adventure hiking in Carpathians

Eileen came from Switzerland to Romania tracking back family roots and trails. Her grandfather started his love affair with the mountains in Fagaras, in Sambata and Vistisoarea area, following his passion later in life up in the Swiss mountains. Eileen wanted to see with her own eyes where it all began, so, together with her friend Yves, they asked us to plan a ten days trekking tour in Romania.

Intotdeauna mi-am dorit sa pot sa scriu un raport de tura in limba Romana! Si din pacate pana acum nu am avut aceasta sansa. De ce? Pentru ca in cei 14 ani de cand merg pe munte ca si ghid, am organizat ture doar pentru straini care vin sa vada Romania dincolo de tabloide, de stiri de televiziune, vin sa vada o Romanie reala, si de ce nu, o Romanie frumoasa. Explore Romanian mountains, hiking and culture in Transylvanian Alps

June can be heaven or hell! Well not as hot as is in hell maybe, (I never been there. Yet) but sometime weather can be unfriendly! Of course, weather is not so important when you traverse half of the World for hiking in Transylvanian Alps, the important part is the equipment you bring with you for a tour like this, the adrenaline you have and the expectations. In small words, we get wet every day of our trip, but also we dried the equipment over the night, being ready for the next day adventure. Backpacking Romania, Fagaras and Bucegi mountains, Transylvanian Alps

On the past seven years, I was lucky, happy and fortunate, because on each summer was at least a person who ask about backpacking Fagaras ridge, to traverse the entire ridge of Fagaras mountains, from Piatra Craiului mountain range to Olt valley.
