Hiking with dear friends in the Fagaras Mountains, summer 2022

With Helmut and Andi, the two brothers from Arad, who emigrated many years ago to Germany, and their gang of friends, we went to the mountains of Romania twice, to Piatra Craiului and Bucegi, as well as to the Macin mountains and the Danube Delta. And now we have chosen together the Fagaras mountains.

Our tour started at the Barcaciu hut, where the hutkeepers welcomed us as guests. We spent the next 2 nights at the newly renovated Negoiu hut (hats off for what you did there Marian and Roxana), climbing the Fagaras ridge, and enjoying Transy… (>>>)

Ski touring in Romanian Carpathians

First we were in Fagaras mountains, and we take advantage of good snow. And then the low temperatures, cloudy weather and strong winds make us to leave with a day early to Bucegi mountains. And as always, weather was on our side, during the traverse from Simon mountain village to Ialomita valley but also on next days. Powder and blu sky! Die Bergtour in den rumänischen Bergen, vier Freundinnen aus Bayern

We, four ladies from Bayern/Germany, have spent unforgettable holidays in Transylvania thanks to our mountain guide Iulian Cozma. Our tour started with a warm-up tour over the hills from Moeciu de Sus and Simon followed by moderated tours over the Bucegi Mountain and Piatra Craiului National Park. Before we started climbing the Fagaras Mountains from the town Victoria. We spent two nights at the Podragu chalet and from there we climbed on the top of Moldoveanu and Vistea peaks.

Bergwandern in Rumänien Karpaten

Wenn eine Touristengruppe aus dem Süd Tirol ein anderes Wander-Reiseziel als die Dolomiten auswählt, dann denke ich, dass Dieses etwas Besonderes an sich haben muss. Und wenn manche von den Gästen auch ein zweites Mal an denselben Ort zurückkommen, dann müssen die Berge wirklich etwas an sich haben. Dies, weil die Dolomiten fast alles bieten, was man sich als Bergsteiger wünschen könnte.

Bergwanderung in Fagaras Gebirge, Klettern Negoiu Gipfel der zweithöchste Gipfel in Rumänischen Karpaten

Mit Katja, Johanna, Vladi, Norbert, Johannes und Brandy bin ich um die Barcaciu und Negoiu Hütten rund gewandert. Egal ob leicht oder schwierig, gutes oder schlechtes Wetter, sie haben mit guten Laune alles überwindet. Besser könnte nicht sein. Also gut gelaunte Leuten, sehr fit, schönes Wetter, schöne Bergen machen ein perfektes Tour.

Bergwandern in Siebenbürgen, Rumänien

I hiked with Monika for the 6th time in Romanian mountains on this beautiful summer! This time we hiked on the central portion of Fagaras mountains, the portion what we never hiked until now on past tours. It was as we expected, good weather, well I can say maybe to hot, and full with beautiful mountain flowers. Overall is was a wonderful tour, and we both enjoyed a lot! Our speed was also good, so we hiked in just three days from Barcaciu chalet to Victoria town, over Negoiu peak and Custura Saratii ridge. Looking forward Monika to ski with yo… (>>>)

Schweizer Freunde auf einer Skitour in Rumänien, Bucegi und Fagaras Gebirge

I can describe the tour on very few words: great people, nice weather, but it will be a pity! So the long version is like this: it was a group of five friends, all from Switzerland, coming for one week ski tour in Romanian mountains, Bucegi and Fagaras. Very nice people, with a lot of humor and a big desire to see new places and to meet local people! Maybe we didn’t had the best snow conditions, was quite warm for this period of the year, but even like this we enjoyed our ski tours and the visits in Ucea de Sus village, Brasov and Bucharest cit… (>>>)
