🙂 I can’t stop smiling, because the weather on this Autumn, or let’s be honest, begin of winter was fabulous for hiking. We didn’t get any rain since almost 4 weeks, and most of the days the weather was perfect. At least when I was hiking 😉 But now winter is coming, we have like 20-40 cm of fresh snow up there, and this make me happy!
Second large smile is because I was not in charge with the organization of this tour, and was good, was like a break after 10 years of organizing tours, and was nice and not the last good to be there again. Where we’ll go? Well, we see when we are there… and so one… 🙂
We start quite late, at least for my feelings 😉 from Busteni town to Costila refuge, and from here we start scrambling on Galbinele valley witch bring us on the upper North East faces of Bucegi mountains. Was some snow, but not crampons were used, was not sun as the tours before, but was not cold. Was just perfect! And as a final reward, the sun welcome us on plateau of Bucegi mountains.
Sunday we descent on Gaura valley, admiring the for the hundredth time Piatra Craiului, Iezer and the far Fagaras mountains, ending in Simon village.
And the funny part, is that I took all the photos during this tour with my mobile phone, a Sony Xperia Ray, leaving my big Canon on my backpack, but I’m not disappointed with the quality of the photos ..:)
