We came, 4 Swedes ranging from age 43 to 71, with high expectations that were surpassed. Starting a bit harder than we trained for, Horia and Iulian made a fantastic job in adapting the tour to our limitations. Beatiful nature, good food and friendly people wherever we went.

The trip was crowned by the visit to Iulian’s grandmother which gave us the possibility to see Romanian old culture together with the new in Brasov and talking a lot with Horia.

Vi kom, 4 personer mellan 43 och 71, med höga förväntningar som överträffades. Vandringen startade något tuffare än vi tränat för, men Horia och Iulian gjorde ett fantastiskt jobb med att anpassa vandringen till våra begränsningar. Vacker natur, god mat och trevliga människor var vi än kom.

Vandringen kröntes med besöket hos Iulians mormor vilket gav oss möjligheten att se Rumäniens gamla kultur, tillsammans med den nya i Brazow och som Horia berättade om.

Für mich war es eher eine Reflexionsübung, um den täglichen Arbeitsstress etc. aus dem Kopf und auf andere Gedanken zu kommen. Hat tatsächlich funktioniert, da es für mich schon eine gewisse Anstrengung bedeutet hat. Ich fühlte mich von dir allerdings nicht unter Druck gesetzt … im Gegenteil. By a handwritten poster with our first names, we two women from Germany met at the airport of Bucarest with a friendly reception by Gabriel`schauffeur and were brought to our first accomodation.

By the way from the driver we learned a lot about the country and its people – in excellent English!

At destination we were welcome by Mihai, for the next 8 days our ( mountain) guide. From the beginning we got along with each other splendidly, we felt at home with Mihai very much (his German is fantastic!), he was considerate, very competen… (>>>)

As a person new to trekking, I was just a bit intimidated when my friends invited me to go to Romania. My friends have been to so many far away places, and the entire group was very experienced. However, when I joined in on the trip, I found that trekking is really fun, and with just a bit of preparation – it’s really not so difficult. I’m part of a group of guys that every year goes on a combination trek/cultural trip in some faraway part of the world. We always use an in-country guide to put our trips together.

Iulian is the best guide we have had. He is a rare combination of a first-rate guide, a great companion and a businessman with an excellent attention to detail both in the trip planning stages and during the actual trip. zum zweiten mal waren wir mit Dir unterwegs, diesmal erst im Donau-Delta, dann quer durch Rumänien in die Karpaten. Wie beim ersten mal hast Du es geschafft uns von anfang an aus unserem Alltag heraus zu holen. Alles war hervorragend geplant und wunderbar in die Tat umgesetzt – unsere Unterkünfte, die Verpflegung und natürlich die Touren und die Besichtigungen. Jeder Tag war ein neues Erlebnis. wiederholt hatten wir ganz wunderbare Tage in Deiner Heimat, als erstes ganz herzlichen Dank für die tolle Vorbereitung und Betreuung unserer Tour. Die Tage im Donaudelta waren für unseren Urlaubsanfang genau das Richtige. Entspannung pur mit ganz ungewohnten Eindrücken einer Landschaft, die für mich ganz neu war. Vielen Dank auch an Iliuta für die vielen Infos zu Vögeln und Vegetation im Delta.

abbiamo trascorso una fantastica settimana, tra le cime delle tue montagne e una full immersion nella cultura romena.

E’ stata una esperienza piacevole e rilassante. Le escursioni ci hanno fatto scoprire posti incantevoli senza farci sentire la fatica del cammino.

Abbiamo apprezzato anche il tour culturale che ci ha portato nelle città piccole e grandi dove ancora resistono tradizioni antiche. Il formaggio della malga, i piatti tipici cucinati secondo tradizione, come a casa della tua nonna, ci hanno fatto p… (>>>)

Dear Horia, dear Iulian,

many thanks for the wonderful days in Transylvania. We’ve enjoyed these days very much and got a deep insight in the daily life of Rumanian people. Additionally, the following days in the Danube delta and beaching in Mamaia as well as the sight seeing in Bukaresti have completed our impressions.

We hope to see you the one or other day again and say thank you very much for your patience and flexibility with a demanding family.
