Exploring Fagaras mountains
It was a tour like the tours have to be! I’m not saying that I not enjoy all my tours, because I really enjoy all my tours, but this one was special because of the tranquility of the Astird, Susanne and Holger, and not the last, because like all this summer, the weather was the right one for a hike in Fagaras mountains!
Our tour start from Ucea de Sus village, at the bottom of Fagaras mountains, with a hike of 6 1/2 hours to Podragu hut, where we arrived just with seconds before a heavy rain start, but as I said, we were lucky with the weather. The weather became as should be the weather during a hiking tour in September: warm, blue sky and lovely clouds! We did a round day tour from Podragu hut to Fereastra Zmeilor saddle, Mircii peak and back at the hut. BTW, I really like when the participants wear colorful clothes, photos look nicer 
Next day we climbed Moldoveanu peak, the highest peak from Romanian Carpathians. Hmmmm, the weather was not as day before, but not bad! We really enjoyed the clouds dance from Ucea Mare peak, and something like this you may see only in Autumn, and was good to be there!
Descending on the Autumn forest was enjoyable, but pretty long, I mean as usual. After a good meal in my grand mother house, they left to Sibiu and from there to Danube Delta, where they enjoyed another few days of Romania…

Testimonial
Im September waren wir 4 Tage mit Julian in den Fogarascher Bergen wandern. Julian hat das Tempo und die Touren genau auf unser Können und unsere Kondition angepasst. Wir haben wunderschöne Aussichten genossen, gemütliche Pausen in der Sonne eingelegt und den Moldoveanu (2544m) bestiegen. Seine Betreuung vor und während des Aufenthalts lies keine Wünsche offen.
Besonders gut fanden wir, dass wir das Dorf seiner Großmutter kennengelernt haben und auf der Hütte mit am Küchentisch sitzen durften. Die Freundlichkeit der Menschen war beeindruckend. Auch für unsere weitere Reise durch Rumänien hat er uns noch viele gute Tipps gegeben und eine tolle Tour ins Donaudelta organisiert. Wir danken Julian für die schönen Tage in den Karpaten und werden, wenn sich die Gelegenheit ergibt, gerne wieder kommen.
