Familienwanderung in der Landschaft des Bergdorfes Bran

Family Hiking in the countryside of Bran mountain village

Testimonial Louise Shaxson, walking family tour in Romania

But we are full of memories of Romania and the wonderful time we had, so expertly guided by you.  I’d seen the photos but hadn’t appreciated the big skies and enormous trees: those are the two images that have really stuck with me.  And the food!  That was all such a treat.  Thanks for all the effort you put into making it such a spectacular trip for all of us, for keeping that dog away from us, for the debates about heating, Brexit and Cecil Rhodes, for ensuring that Nick stayed warm (and stylish) and for generally looking after … (>>>)

Skiwandern in den Bucegi-Bergen, Siebenbürgen – 17./25. März 2018

At the end of March snow Gods were on our side, snow was enough and good quality for our cross country skiing tour in Bucegi and Postavaru mountains. The group of happy people from Genova enjoy the tour all the time, despite the weather conditions, low visibility, cold and windy, but hey, is March, is winter! We use the gps to find the Sphinx of Bucegi, but we find it, so foggy was up there! Enjoy the photos, Iulian, March 2018

Winterwandern im magischen Siebenbürgen

The trails we do hike tours, mountain biking adventures or trail running trips for three seasons along the year suffer a magical transformation during the winter months. No flocks of sheep or scattered cows grazing on the vast pastures, no dogs roaming around the deserted farms, nothing to disturb a frozen landscape. Everything comes to a stand still, as if mesmerized by the truly unique landscape.

If you are lucky, as Philippa and David were, to have your trip programmed just when some fresh snow is coming, it gets even better. … (>>>)

West Tyrone Ramblers auf Reise in die rumänischen Berge

From time to time, some Irish ramblers go abroad, and they are hungry to discover new destinations. Few years ago, Martin and his friends landed in Carpathian mountains for a tour, together with another 10 friends.

This July Mary and her friends came to Romania to enjoy a week walking on Bran county high hills and Bucegi mountains. They are used to walk almost every weekend in Ireland, under different weather conditions, so our beautiful weather was as a gift for them! We enjoy the beautiful walking days on the high hills of Bran county an… (>>>)

Die Schweden genießen die Karpaten

Sometimes it is simply better to let our guests tell the story. Without much ado, here it is:

„We are a group of four Swedes who love exploring different countries and especially the mountains and the country side on bike, by foot and on skies. This year we decided to travel to Romania to test the Carpathians on mountain bikes. The expectations were set high after reading the web page and the professional contact with Horia and Iulian before arriving in Romaina. And indeed, the Carpathians and our experiences during the week didn’… (>>>)

Wildblumenwanderung in den Siebenbürgen Alpen

They came all the way from Australia, visiting Tinne’s family in Holland but also to see the wild flower-rich meadows that Transylvania is known for. In some parts the horse and cart is still the normal mode of transport, and hay is cut and stacked by hand – an everyday reality. We wound our way up through forested mountains in Bucegi and along fertile valleys with views of steep alpine meadows in Simon village with an extraordinary diversity of flowers. The beautiful farm land of Magura mountain village, in Piatra Craiu… (>>>)

Einfach: Pulver Splitboarding in Karpaten

At the beginning of our tour, Bucegi mountains were just a big desert, without sand, sorry, snow! But at least was blue sky!

Second day, the same blue sky, but we manage to find some nice powder for some long lines! Well, then we had a situation, meaning a snow storm came over Bucegi, and true winter finally arrived in Carpathian mountains. After we traverse Dudele mountains, from Bucegi to upper parts of Moeciu de Sus mountain village, in true snow storm, we had a really big surprise: at least 50-70 cm of fresh powder snow, untouched, was th… (>>>)

Rumänien erkunden, spazieren gehen, Kultur genießen, leckeres Essen genießen

A conversation with a Romanian taxi driver in London a few years ago put Romania on my travel radar. He enthusiastically described the beautiful scenery and many hiking options available in his home country. From the beginning of our correspondence with Iulian, he was prompt and efficient in dealing with our enquiries which gave us confidence in his professionalism. The outstanding feature of Iulian’s company is that it genuinely offers tours which are tailored to the specific needs of the group and the itinerary is flexibl… (>>>)
