The year of the COVID pandemic put a sudden stop to travelling abroad, here as everywhere. Our regular tours were put on hold, as our guests weren’t able to fly to Romania. However, people living in Romania were invited to have a closer look on the local adventure tourism options.
Like our friend Tom, who in his working hours in Bucharest makes some truly brilliant, mouth watering sourdough bread. He decided that he needs to do more about his free time, exploring the local mountains, experiencing what Romania has to offer. And in what better way to do that than on a mountain bike?
We rode together in several short, couple-of-days sessions, on the trails in Mărginimea Sibiului, but also on the outskirts of Brașov and in the famous Bran Country. He biked on his red hard tail the famous Strunga Pass descent, some rowdy trails in Piatra Craiului, and some.
For the 2021 season he’d already upgraded his biking kit to a proper full-suspension weapon, and he is very motivated to start ticking boxes from our list of mtb-peaks
Looking forward to start the wheels rollin’.
