VTT en Roumanie

Dear Horia, dear Iulian, Thank you for these nice pictures & article and your profesionalism in guiding us thru the Carpates all along the week. It has been an excellent experience for me and also as you said a challenge and I am really pleased to have shared this week with you. A lot of records, stories for me and nice pictures/landscape of Romania and Carpates will stay in my head. You can rely on me to promote mtb to other french connections. All the best for you, Nelly – photos here… (>>>)

VTT en Roumanie: the French connection is open

Word about our mtb tours in the Carpathian mountains, Transylvania, is constantly spreading. Bikers from Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, UK, Sweden are coming here for a few good years now, and it was about time for the French mountain bikers to show up.

Jean and Nelly flew over from Toulouse, searching for some nice single trails, single track, all-mountain type biking to test their brand new 27.5 full-suspension bikes. And that’s precisely what they’ve found, along with gorgeous scenery, delicious food, perfe… (>>>)

Markus Schmid, 2014 – fotos here(>>>)

German friends hiking and walking in Romania, Fagaras and Bucegi mountains

Lieber Julian ! (>>>)

Belgian group of hikers enjoying a tour in Fagaras and Bucegi mountains, Romania

Hiking in Romania it is an unexpected experience for most of the visitors. And like this it was for the Belgium group of hikers from this August. As they are coming from a flat country like Belgium, cycling is the most common sport there. Also, they were good for hiking too, especially on  long hikes witch involve a lot of climbing. Not the last, they were jealous when they saw Transfagarasean highway, a long asphalt road with climb 1500 meters, in central part of Fagaras mountains. Of course I told them that our Swedish friends  climb it … (>>>)

Blegian group of hikers in Romania, Bucegi and Fagaras mountains

Dear Julian, it was really a great 9 days trekking in the Carpathians. Meeting you on the airport in Buckarest we immediately felt that we made the right choice to to go with you for our yearly trekking in a new unknown region. For sure at the end of the trekking we realized that you presented us an optimal combination some cultural visits (e.g. the amazing castle in Sinaia) and trekking days in the mountains variating day after day. We appreciated that you build up from the first day a strong understanding of our group, putted clear rules t… (>>>)

Out of the comfort zone, mountain biking in Transylvania, Romania

This week was one of a different kind. Maybe it wasn’t the perfect weather for mountain biking but it was perfect to create memories that will last. Cold, snow technical problems… We had it all. That was the difficult part but – and there is a big BUT. In the same time with giving us trouble all this difficulties gave us also the chance to stand and deal with ourselves and nature. The wheels were spinning and the weather too. From sun to rain. From rain to snow. Again Sun with teeth and again clouds. The pedals are still p… (>>>)
