Tailored tours

On Buteanu peak in Fagaras mountains, Transylvanian Alps

My experience when dealing with mountain lovers from all over the world taught me that one of the things my clients value most is the ‘personalized service’ – the ability to adapt and design a program according to the needs of each group and each route. This is why all the tours presented in this website are usually the starting point for a tailor made mountain activities program, able to suite very precise demands.

Apart from the standard one-week programs you see in the Tours section, we can offer you schedules from two days to two weeks (or more), with various degrees of technical or physical difficulty. We can arrange for full trekking or ski touring programs, but also combination of hiking with mountain biking, freeride with snowshoeing or maybe mountaineering with cultural visits. So please feel free to contact us if you wish to spent an active holiday in Romania!

In the last years clients asked us to combine Romanian with Bulgarian routes on longer schedules and we are now able to offer you cross-border packages thanks to our good network of partners in Bulgaria.

We are also ready to organize active vacations outside Romania: trekking and mountaineering in the Peruvian Andes (Cordillera Blanca, Macchu Picchu) mountain biking and swimming/snorkeling in atypical Greek destinations like Kythira, Milos, Thassos or Sithonia. While this service is aimed mostly at Romanian based clients, we welcome requests from everywhere.

The mountains have always been a favorite subject for the landscape photographer. The air is clear, the light is wonderful, the view is sublime. All the tourists coming to the Romanian mountains bring their cameras to record their own memories of the time spent here trekking on the Fagaras main ridge all the way to Moldoveanu Peak or ski touring in Bucegi – but the serious photographer will not mix things.

He wants to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment – that is something we can really help with using our comprehensive knowledge of the Romanian mountains and our own photographic experience that is on display in each page of this website.

For me it was the second time that I went on a trip with Iulian. Like last time (when I hiked to the highest peak in Romania – Moldoveanu) everything was very well organized by Iulian. We enjoyed good weather, snow was maybe not so ideal (too wet and heavy the first day and too icy the second day), but at least we knew at the end of these two days why we were tired. The Bucegi mountains are ideal for ski touring – and it’s good to have a guide like Iulian who knows the region and prevents you from going in the wrong direction. We stayed the night in a cozy and clean chalet in Pestera which allowed us to have a well-deserved rest after the first day. On the second day the temperatures were much lower and we found out at the end of the day that below 1700m it seemed as if the entire day it was foggy, windy and really cold. Fortunately we stayed above this altitude most of the day

Thanks very much for all your help in introducing us to your country and its people. We enjoyed both! We were truly impressed, though, by your thoughtfulness and attention.

Dear Iulian, thank you so very much for a wonderful time in your wonderful country. I appreciate your patience with us. It was a pleasure to be with you and to get to know you and, as Scott says, I too hope we can keep in touch!
